All about ALiEnRUsH
We formed this band in 1988 and we have been active off and on all these years.
I fist met James Coray in the summer of 1981 when he was in the band "Cozway".
After I spent a few years learning how to play guitar I founded a band called "Amethust".
After 3 years with "Amethust" James called me up in 1985 to work with the band he was with at
the time called "Wired Witch". This is when we went through our hair metal band phase.
We took a couple of years off and reunited to start the first of a few different versions
of "Third Wish" which we started in 1988 and recorded our first album later that year and
then went on to make a video in Cedar City Utah in 1990.
I went to California later that summer to try pursuing a career in commercial rock.
I was with many bands at that time. The most successful was a band called "TYXE".
James came out in 1991 and we tried the "Third Wish" project once again.
However we were unable to break into the market and abandoned the project all together.
I spent the next 13 years in California trying to make it in the commercial rock, pop,
and metal scene and got many years of stage and studio experience working as a session
vocalist and guitar player. I started working with a band "Character" in 1998 and
recorded an album that was never released. I returned in 2003. James and I began to
work actively with the "Third Wish" project once again only to change the name because
many other bands were contacting us insisting that they had copyrights to the name.
The new name of the band was "ALiEnRUsH".
We started fresh with some new songs in 2004 and began writing. We have many new songs
and decided it would be nice to open up the archives of material and pick out new
songs to work with. In the process of going through old songs we decided that all
of them were worthy of recording since the new technology is finally catching up
with our ability's to conjure up strange new sounds and textures. We live and continue
creating songs before their time. We love what we do and we hope that you will too.
We decided to put up a MySpace site on Thanksgiving day 2008 to share the music
with close friends as well as the world. We have many songs and we are currently
working on a new album with old material as well as new.
Stay tuned for the new song releases as we are always working and creating new
sound scapes for your pleasure as well as ours.
